Part-Time Tutor

We are currently seeking part-time tutors for our GradePower Learning Southwest Austin location. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with a variety of students and subjects. We seek learning coaches who are passionate about helping children grow.

You do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our methods.

Position Requirements:

You may select your schedule. GradePower Learning has shifts available as early as 3:30pm to as late as 7:00pm. Saturday mornings from 9:00am - 12:30pm are also an option. Relationship-building with students is important, and our students will love working with you; therefore, reliability is a must.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. 

We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree, or specialization in math or language
  
• Teaching certification or a portfolio of classroom or small group experience is preferred

Experience:

• Some K-12 teaching/tutoring experience is preferred
  
• Strong written and oral communication skills
  
• Ability to multitask and balance up to three students at a time

Responsibilities (Position Details):

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time on individualized lesson plans
• Following the GradePower Learning methodology and philosophy
• Maintaining a friendly, positive, helpful tone at all times

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $23 - $25 / hour

• Weekday Afternoons/Evenings
